I remember kinda laughing when he died. I think I just got confused about who was who (they look identical).
The hunting was ok, but I remember when I had surplus Gil and could save up more efficently for future items.

Vaan just comes off as too weak of a character to be interesting in any way.

None of the cast really had a strong personality. Balthier and Fran stand out the most to me because of their chemistry, but that's mediocre plotsy at best. Although Penelo was kinda cute: she wasn't the absolutely annoying peppy-girl I thought she was going to be, and she actually acts as a "straight man" to Vaan's "comedic outbursts."

I agree. If I had to pick,Penelo would be my favorite. I cant say I liked the character design either. I had trouble finding any costume that made sense logically, except maybe for Ashe.

Lol. When I played FFXII I never made it to any of the cool characters, so I was really disappointed when Reks died and you had to play as Tidu--erm, I mean--"Vaan."

I was really enjoying the game (especially the story) until it got away from the political intrigue and started focusing on killing rats >_>

Oh! And do get me started on the frikkin' hunts! And the gathering of loot for the best weapons... zomg. Although it makes more sense that animals drop stuff relevant to them instead of Gil and random items.
